Role description
You will join a highly professional team of breeders and
scientists located in Torre Pacheco Murcia.
This team is part of a global network of breeders and scientists working for the many Syngenta crops. As part of the breeding team you will participate in the R&D Lettuce Crop Team via coordination and execution of R&D projects throughout the stage plan (Discovery, Proof of Concept, and Early Development up to promotion to PLC 5).Further you will be the interface between the Project Team and Biological Assessment for project planning, initiation, execution, and closure. Also you will be responsible for managing biological entities, data, and records for the R&D Lettuce Crop Team via Syngenta approved informatic systems.

Profile.
We are looking candidates will meet the following
characteristics:
- Agriculture
Engineer.
- At least 1 year of
relevant experience in breeding practices.
- Knowledge of
breeding theory, mendelian genetics and molecular markers, is critical.
- A good
understanding of principles in statistics, physiologyand pathology is also
important.
- Experience working
in trialsdesign.
- Fluent in English
- Willingness to
travel
- Driving license
